Privacy

This refers to information collected in order to monitor traffic on the website. This allows us identify the type of users and what information is of interest to different types of users. Additionally, we can identify what pages are viewed most often and how long users stay on various pages. The purpose of this information is to allow us identify areas for improvement to make the site suitable to the needs of users. This information is gathered from log files and produced in summary form and not on an individual basis. Occasionally summary information may be provided to advertisers and recruiters.

Personal Information.

Personal and company information is inputted directly by users as part of the registration and login processes. User accounts are password protected and it is the responsibility of users to ensure that they protect their passwords. During registration we ask candidates to provide personal details that include contact details, work experience and so on. This information is stored on the CV database for the user's convenience in the event that they want to apply for a job on line. Users have the option to make these details available to employers/recruiters who pay for access to the CV database.

In the event where a candidate chooses to make their CV details available in the CV database, the candidate has an additional option to hide their contact details. Where this option is selected, contact details are kept hidden from viewers.

Personal details are not referred to any third party without the permission of the user. Where an employer and/or recruiter wants to contact a candidate as a result of viewing their CV details, the candidate will be informed by LegalSecretary.co.uk. The candidate can then choose whether or not to make their contact details available to that employer /recruiter. LegalSecretary.co.uk will only refer personal information to these third parties following permission to do so from the candidate.

Candidates are offered the option to upload existing CVs to the CV database. The candidate can then choose whether or not to make this CV available for viewing by employers/recruiters. If you choose to upload your CV onto the CV database and make it available for viewing, you should be aware that any personal details, including contact details contained in your CV will be available to all employers and recruiters using the CV database.

Where a candidate chooses to make their CV details available to prospective employers/recruiters in CV database, you agree that all member employers and recruiters who pay for access will have access to these details. Additionally, employers/recruiters may retain a copy of the candidates CV for their own purposes. LegalSecretary.co.uk are not responsible for their use or privacy in such instances. Under the terms and conditions of LegalSecretary.co.uk employers and recruiters agree to using information solely for its intended purpose.

Candidates can update or amend or delete their details at any time through the career manager facility.

Job Alerts and News

Candidates have an option to avail of the job alert service on the site. Job alerts are provided by email and sms. LegalSecretary.co.uk use the contact details provided by candidates to send job alerts. Additionally, candidates subscribe to News, which is our periodic newsletter providing information on 'Hot Jobs' and other career related features. Candidates can unsubscribe to this newsletter at any stage by emailing info@LegalSecretary.co.uk Emails may be copied for record keeping purposes. All emails received by users and/or copied will not be disclosed to any third party without the permission of the sender.
