Switchboard Operator
Location: : Bristol - Berkshire
Rate: £ 13 to £ 17 K (Full-time)
My client, a well known law firm based in Bristol City Centre are looking to recruit a Switchboard Operator to join their Facilities Team.
As a successful candidate your main purpose will be to respond to both external and internal telephone calls quickly, efficiently and professionally. To provide effective administrative support, as required, to the Facilities team.
You main duties will include:
• To maintain cover of the switchboard between the hours of 09.00 - 17.00
• To answer all calls promptly and in a professional manner
• To keep the switchboard index up-to-date
• To process travel and courier bookings
• To assist with Business Development mailings
• To cover Reception as required
• To assist other members of the Facilities team, as appropriate, and to undertake other administrative duties as may be required
• To take responsibility for Health & Safety at work of yourself and others
You must have:
• Experience of working on a busy switchboard in a professional environment
• Excellent client care skills with the ability to deal with clients and employees on the telephone and face to face
• Excellent communication skills with a confident manner being polite and friendly at all times
• IT skills with knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel
• To demonstrate a continuing desire to acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes required to support a firm offering professional services
