Float PA / Personal Assistant – 12 month contract - £competitive

Rate: N/A (Full-time) + Fixed Term Contract

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP are looking for a motivated and highly organised PA who would enjoy the variety a Float PA role in the Firm has to offer. You will provide a highly efficient, client-focused and professional legal administrative support to a number of nominated fee earners.

This is an excellent 12-month contract opportunity for a PA who is willing to provide proactive cross-departmental support.

As a Float PA / Personal Assistant your main responsibilities will involve:

• Typing letters, correspondence and confidential legal documentation, proofreading all work to ensure that completed documents are delivered to the highest standard of accuracy
• Providing appropriate support to clients’ requests and carrying out basic client liaison duties
• Supporting lawyers (fee earners) with their business development and knowledge management responsibilities
• Assisting with the administration of both client and internal events, the production of pitches, client presentations and maintaining up-to-date CVs
• Managing incoming communication, drafting and transcribing replies and ensuring all mail is processed in an accurate and timely manner
• Coordinating meetings for fee earners including managing diaries, making appointments and organising travel arrangements
• Assisting fee earners with basic technical queries allowing them to make best use of their IT resources

As a Float PA / Personal Assistant your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

• Educated to A level standard or equivalent experience, must have at least 5 GCSEs with grades A-C (or equivalent), to include Maths and English
• Administrative support or secretarial experience, with a formal secretarial qualification
• Excellent IT Skills, including fast, accurate audio and copy typing (60 wpm)
• Ability to produce high quality MS Word and PowerPoint documents
• Experience of working in a legal environment, or sound knowledge of legal terminology, would be advantageous
